Donkey Hodie is an American puppet live-action musical children's television series created by David and Adam Rudman for PBS Kids, aimed at preschoolers aged 3 to 5.Inspired by characters created by Fred Rogers, the series premiered on May 3, 2021, and is the second spin-off of Mister Rogers' Neighborhood after Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood.The show is set in the land of Someplace Else, just north of the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, where the eponymous character, Donkey Hodie solves problems throughout her day with the help of her friends.Each episode typically features two 11-minute segments, focusing on a specific vocabulary word and problem-solving, often involving themes of feelings, fairness, and perseverance.

Initially rejected because of its taboo prodding outrageous content by NZIFF Shorts programmers, the film was however supported by Producer/Programmer/Filmmaker Ant Timpson who selected it to play in his Incredibly Strange section of the Festival. Thereafter Brave Donkey became an International Festival success incl. SXSW, BFI London, Locarno and Melbourne.

Ferdinand is a long-standing employee at Fish Land, the aquatic centre within the globalised leisure complex "Worlds Apart". He's a small, bald forty year-old, and a solitary, anxious introvert, entirely devoted to his passion for fish. But Ferdinand's obsessive little existence is turned upside down the day Fish Land closes down for six months of renovation. He is transferred to another section of "Worlds Apart", the Finnish-Turkish Delight spa, entirely geared towards the pleasure of saunas and steam rooms. Ferdinand is suddenly thrown into a world of nudity, sensuality, relaxation and letting go... In short, everything he could possibly be afraid of! HOT HOT HOT is the belated journey of initiation of an inhibited little man, who slowly but surely learns to open up to the pleasures of life. It paints a colourful yet sensitive picture of a world caught between artificiality and authenticity, between norm and peculiarity.

An exuberant little donkey lives for one thing: the joy of racing at top speed. But his mother, cautions her son to go slow and use care, for misfortune may be just around the corner. When the son tires of his mother's lectures, he leaves from home, dashing off into the desert. Meanwhile, a heinous villain enters the picture, and he uses Mother Donkey as a beast of burden. The little donkey comes back years later to find his mother missing. When the donkey learns what has happened, he dives into action, using his irrational behavior to find his mother. Then, using his superior speed and strength, he gives the miscreant a sound trouncing, thus liberating his beloved mother. The short ends happily with mother and son basking in familial bliss, and Mother Donkey reluctantly acknowledging that extreme caution is not always the only path to righteousness.
